Print editions
Classified advertising

Non-commercial classified advertising $50 per column inch per insertion. Commercial (business) classified display advertising $65 per column inch. Season-long rates available, call for quote. Display ads smaller than one inch deep will enlarged to one inch and billed at $65 per column inch. All classified advertising must be accompanied by full payment, in advance. All classified advertising is subject to prior approval by Publisher, who reserves the right to reject any advertising not meeting Publisher's guidelines.

Display advertising
Color & mechanical specs:

Second color (Blue, Red, Yellow) .... $250 extra
Four color (CMYK process) .... $445 extra

• Black ink must be one of the colors to apply two-color pricing.
• No PMS spot colors. Spot colors must be converted to CMYK before submitting PDF. Chicagoland Golf will pass any conversion charges on to customer.
• Chicagoland Golf uses four-color (CMYK) process color. Ads (including images) should be set for U.S. Web coated (SWOP).
• Photos and art should be in TIFF format, not JPEG. Advertisers/agencies must provide color proof to be used for on-press color adjustment.
• Ads should be submitted in editable PDF form. All fonts must be embedded. Call for specs.
• Please use 300 PPI TIFF for all graphics. Minimum 200 PPI.
• Any additional creative work necessary (whether contracted with advertiser or not) will be billed to advertiser at $110 per hour. • Ads needing outputting (EPS, Quark or InDesign files) must be in house three days prior to ad materials deadline. For ads submitted electronically, call for an upload (FTP) address. Any output charges incurred will be passed on to agency and/or advertiser. Publisher assumes no liability for output errors caused by corrupted files.

Inserts:

Inserts per 1M (basic rate 20lb. single sheet) $80
• Inserts must be prepaid, pre-approved by Publisher and delivered to our dock at least two days prior to scheduled print date.
• Inserts may not be available in every issue based on news deadlines.
• Must be no larger than 8Ό x 11 inches folded. Price depends on weight per individual piece. Call for prices.

Premium positions:
Inside front cover (page 2) $350
Second cover (pg 1, horz. Ό page, CMYK only) $700
Outside back cover (half tab page, CMYK only) $800


Mechanical Requirements:

• Printed on 35lb. groundwood or other similar premium stock for superior color reproduction.
• 300 PPI photos and artwork preferred.
• All listed advertising charges are for camera-ready PDF or EPS file artwork. All fonts must be embedded.
NOTE: Advertisers should avoid using small, thin typefaces as knockouts in four-color (black) backgrounds to ensure good readability. Chicagoland Golf retains the right to change poorly-reproducing typefaces to improve reproduction quality.
• Any advertising created, completed or altered by Chicagoland Golf will be billed to advertiser. A typesetting and/or composition charge of $110 per hour will be made for all original composition, changes, alterations, photo restoration or cancellations from original copy after same is set in type. Proofs will be shown upon request no later than four working days prior to printing date. All changes are due on the issue's Space & Materials deadline.
• Ads containing coupons are subject to Publisher's approval. All advertising shall be subject to Publisher's rules and regulations. Chicagoland Golf Publishing Co. reserves the right to edit or reject any advertising submitted for publication. No cancellations or changes will be accepted after 5 p.m. two (2) working days prior to scheduled publication. Advance payment required of all new accounts without prior credit approval. No guaranteed placement or position of any advertisement unless agreed in advance by Publisher in writing with charges added (if necessary) according to current rate schedule.

Distribution/Production schedule:
• Chicagoland Golf is distributed free 13 times/year: monthly in March, October and November and semimonthly during April, May, June, July, August and September at approximately two- to three-week intervals, depending on tournament schedules. Annual Practice Facility, Range Guide & Course Directory published in late spring.
• Distributed at over 400 public & private golf courses, off-course golf shops and retail advertisers in northern and central Illinois, southeast Wisconsin and Northwest Indiana.
• Mail subscriptions are available at $20 per year, $36 for two years and $50 for three years; groups of 10 or more eligible for special group subscription rate, upon approval. Foreign subscriptions: please call for rates.
• Advertising and printing deadlines dependent on availability of press time, with all dates subject to change without notice.
